Delete Your Trivia Gorilla Account

You can delete your Trivia Gorilla account at any time. This page describes the two ways to request deletion, exactly what data is removed, and the retention windows that apply afterwards.

How to request account deletion

Option 1 — Inside the app (fastest, takes effect immediately)

Open Trivia Gorilla on your phone.
Go to Settings → Account.
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm the prompt.

The deletion takes effect immediately — your account, sessions, and profile are removed as soon as the screen returns to the home view.

Option 2 — Web form (use this if you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in)

Submit the form below. We'll process the deletion within 7 days (typically same day) and email you when it's done.

Data that is deleted

The following is permanently removed from our active systems:

Account identifiers: email address, username, display name
Profile content: profile photo and any files you uploaded
Authentication state: all sign-in sessions across every device, password hash (if any), email verification records, password reset tokens
Linked social sign-ins: Google and Apple provider links, including server-to-server token revocation so Trivia Gorilla no longer appears under "Apps Using Apple ID" or your Google account permissions list
Audit logs tied to your account

Data that is retained (anonymized)

Past quiz attempts and leaderboard scores are kept indefinitely, but the link to your identity is removed (the user reference on each row is set to NULL). The remaining data is therefore aggregate gameplay history and cannot be traced back to you. This is done so leaderboard rankings remain stable for other players.

Retention periods

Active data: deleted immediately when you confirm in-app, or within 7 days of a web request.
Disaster-recovery backups: Cloudflare D1 automated backups can retain copies for up to 30 days. After 30 days, your personal data is also purged from backups.
Anonymized gameplay rows: retained indefinitely without any link to your identity.
